Vince Piper, RPh

Vince Piper was born and raised in Burlington, Iowa. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1984. He received an associate of arts degree from Southeastern Community College in 1986. He continued his education with The University of Iowa in the College of Pharmacy graduating in 1989. While in high school, Vince started working for Witte Drug as a camera salesperson. He continued to work in photography at Henry Louis Photography while attending the University of Iowa, and still enjoys photography today. He said “working in the pharmacy, and dealing with the chemistry involved in photo developing sparked enough interest for me to apply for the pharmacy program at the University of Iowa.” After a quick 3 years in Iowa City, he started working for Walgreens in Muscatine, Iowa. Vince moved to Texas in the early 90’s and has lived in Arlington since that time. After working at independent pharmacies in Fort Worth for several years, Vince took a job with Ray’s Pharmacy in order to work in his own community in Arlington. He has been with Ray’s Pharmacy for over 11 years now.
Vince and his wife Paula met while attending the University of Iowa. They have 3 children. Their second child, Kevin, is epileptic and severely autistic. “All children affect our lives, but Kevin’s disabilities have served as an even greater influence.”
Before children, Vince was very active in the Tarrant County Pharmacist Association. He served on the board and as Vice President for several years. Playing golf, baseball, softball, camping, hiking and biking were big pre-child day activities. More recent hobbies include Texas Rangers baseball, attending Clayton’s (oldest child) sporting events and Sarah’s (youngest child) dance recitals.
